6th Annual LWV Essay Contest

LWV of Lexington's 2010 Essay Contest centers on campaign finance, with the question "How does money influence elections and the subsequent actions of elected officials?" The contest is open to students in grades 9-12 attending a Fayette County school. Three prizes will be awarded. The 1st place winner will receive $250 cash, 2nd place will receive $150 and 3rd place $100. An honorarium of $100 will also be given to the teacher/sponsor of the 1st place winner and $50 to the second and third place teacher/sponsor.
