Where to Vote?
Request a Mail-In Ballot starting August 21, 2020.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, if you have a concern about Coronavirus you may request a MAIL-IN Absentee Ballot for the November 3 General Election, although this is not normally the case.
ALL voters will need to apply for a Mail-In Ballot at GoVoteKY.com starting on Aug 21; ballots will NOT be automatically sent. The Mail-In ballot will not require a stamp and can either be returned through the US Postal Service, deposited at a drop box. (Locations TBD)
Early Voting
There will be early voting on weekdays between October 13 and Nov 3. Early voting will also be available for at least four hours on Saturdays between October 13 and Nov 3 on weekdays . Early voting is not absentee voting; anyone can vote early for any reason.
Election Day voting
County election officials will decide election sites on Election Day. The State Board of Elections, Secretary of State and Governor will approve each plan. (Details for Fayette County Voting locations TBD.)
Every county will have at least one voting super-center, where everyone from the county can go to vote, regardless of his or her precinct.
Voter identification
Kentuckians who were unable to get a driver’s licenses or photo ID due to the pandemic because their clerk’s office was closed, or because they were afraid of exposing themselves to COVID-19, can sign a document explaining this concern and cast their ballot.
