Are you worried about democracy in our country? Do you have ideas about how we can make democracy work in our own community? Are you brimming with ideas on getting out the vote, voter education and citizen engagement? Do you want to see fair elections free from gerrymandering? Are you interested in having all voices in our community heard at the polls? Are you interested in reaching a voter population that historically has low voter turnout?
If any of these questions resonate with you, please join the League of Women Voters of Lexington for the 2019 Planning Meeting. We are looking for motivated individuals with fresh, innovative ideas to help up move our programming into the next year. We recognize the value and strength in bringing together people from various backgrounds, people who possess different skills and talents to further our mission of “Making Democracy Work”. Have great ideas and no time; short on innovative ideas but have lots of energy and time? Let’s all get together and share our ideas with people who can execute them!
We will be sending out an agenda prior to the meeting, so people can brainstorm ideas ahead of time, so we can hit the ground running with robust, thoughtful ideas at the January Planning Meeting.
A working lunch will be catered by Athenian Grille. Please RSVP to lexingtonlwv@gmail.com or 859-494-3203.
