Meet our Intern: Madison Cissell

“Oral history testimonies are invaluable to the understanding of current and past events. I am passionate about oral history because these testimonies offer both a niche understanding of a subject’s memory, background, and personality. They also serve as a basic picture of an individual’s rich life experiences, all set within a historical perspective. As I continue my work with the League of Women Voters, I am eager to not only meet more women dedicated to their community, but to learn about the impact the League and its members have had on the Lexington community since the League’s inception. “ - Madison Cissell
